Shively and Dielectric Settle Patent Lawsuit

Bridgton, ME and Raymond, ME
November 7, 2006

Howell Laboratories, Inc., and the Dielectric Communications Division of SPX Corporation today announced that they have agreed to settle the patent litigation pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine involving US Patent Nos. 6,934,514 and 6,934,579. Although specific terms of the agreement are confidential, the settlement resolves all pending legal claims between the two companies and forecloses any future litigation with respect to the patents. Both Dielectric Communications and the Shively Labs Division of Howell Laboratories will continue to market FM broadcast products that utilize the technology claimed in the patents.
